Patricia Davis is a devoted mother of two, spoken word artist, author, and maternal mental health advocate whose work centers on healing, storytelling, and community connection. Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and originally from Savannah, Georgia, Patricia brings both Southern roots and lived maternal experience into every space she enters.
Since September 2021, Patricia has passionately used her voice as a tool for empowerment, reflection, and awareness, especially around maternal mental health and the realities of motherhood. Her spoken word performances are known for their emotional depth, authenticity, and ability to create safe spaces for women and families to feel seen and heard. The stage, as she often describes it, feels like home and a place of refuge.
Patricia is also the founder of Mom Mends, a maternal wellness initiative dedicated to supporting mothers through compassionate, community-centered care. Through Mom Mends, she facilitates maternal mental health workshops that create spaces for self-reflection, storytelling, goal setting, and peer connection. Her workshops are designed to nurture emotional well-being and remind mothers that healing happens best in community.
Through her advocacy, artistry, and community work, Patricia remains committed to uplifting mothers, fostering dialogue around perinatal mental health, and building supportive networks where healing and growth can flourish.
Patricia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Her academic journey reflects her deep commitment to understanding the human experience and supporting emotional healing, particularly within maternal and community-centered spaces.
During a season of seeking creative and spiritual inspiration, Patricia discovered The Venue on 35th Street, a space that has long served as a home for artists in Norfolk, Virginia. The Venue holds a special place in Patricia’s heart, as it has been instrumental in nurturing her artistic growth and providing a welcoming environment for authentic expression. She credits God for guiding her to this space and dedicates the continued growth of her art and artistry to His direction and purpose.
Patricia extends her heartfelt gratitude to those who have supported and poured into her journey.
Special thank you to Leah Davis and Shaun Davis III
She also offers sincere appreciation to James Cooper, Jorge Mendez, and TheGYEXP for their continued support and belief in her work.
With gratitude and honor.
